Bwin Updates PartyPoker Mobile Casino App with SNG Tourneys and More

PartyPoker (PP) mobile casino app players can now join the full range of online Sit and Go (SNG) tournaments, from the standard games to the double-or-nothing and coinflip poker competitions, whether using an iOS or Android supported mobile device.

Actually, the addition of the SNG tourney is only one of a series of functionality improvements and mobile app enhancements rolled out in beta version by Bwin.Party since May. However, the update selection excludes SNG satellites, as PP’s team of app developers considered the possibility of a tournament-qualified player using a mobile client that does not support Party Poker’s mobile casino app.

Since the testing phase has ended and the mobile app is already available to iOS and Android mobile device users,  Warren Lush, Head of Public Relations at Bwin.Party is proud to announce that the update will allow PartyPoker players to gain access to “one of the world’s leading online poker rooms quicker and easier than ever before.”

A most welcome improvement is one that permits seamless shifting from desktop playing to mobile gaming in any variant of PartyPoker SNG, rapid fold and cash game offerings, whether for free play or for real-money. As there is a broad range of game selections to choose from, the people behind Bwin.Party’s mobile app development were intuitive enough to add table filters that allow sorting by number of players per table, buy-in fee, by speed and by format. With just a touch of the icon-based filter, players can easily get into any ongoing poker action of his or her choice.

Another improvement worth mentioning is the quick-play option that enables players to join the action immediately, when shifting from desktop to mobile gaming or vice-versa. Losing connection and automated or accidental shut downs do not pose as problems since a simple re-launch of the mobile app will bring the player back to the table. The selection buttons are large enough to make it less likely for players to tap on a selection by accident.

For players who also dabble in online casino games, the latest mobile app update also gives player quick access to Bwin.Party’s casino table games and slot offerings.

Canadian poker player Kara Scott, one of Party Poker’s ambassadors and member of Team Party Poker, commented that the addition of the extensive selection of SNG games and tournaments to PP’s mobile offering gives a clear message that Party Poker has taken steps toward the development of future online poker. Ms. Scott recalls that in the early days of mobile gaming, it was more likely that the development of a mobile application for high-quality poker gaming would always remain a “pipe dream”. She added, “Ease of access, speed and freedom is the absolute key” and that the recent update is only the first step, because Bwin.Party intends to add more improvements that will contribute to the growth of the product.

The Party Poker mobile casino app is free and available for download at Apple’s App Store for iOS devices, and at the Google Play Store for Android-supported devices.
