The State of Delaware’s three casinos, namely Delaware Park, Dover Downs and Harrington Raceway are all set to promote their online gambling facilities by launching their free-for-play cashless casino games at Facebook.

State-authorized slot machine vendor IGT Interactive has linked its DoubleDown Casino Slots & Poker gaming platform at Facebook, to the websites of the three Delaware casinos. Legal-aged Facebook users located throughout the globe will be able to enjoy the free-for-play slots and conventional casino table and card games.

Delaware Secretary of Finance Tom Cook is confident that the Facebook introduction will allow players to adapt to Internet gambling in a regulated environment. After all, the Delaware State Lottery Office (DSLO) has a responsibility to regulate not only the real money games (RMG) but also the free-for-play game offerings. The DSLO Director will approve promotional free-for-play games, only if these simulate the Internet-based RMGs, which the three Delaware casinos intend to offer at their websites. This denotes that the cashless casino style offerings at Facebook will have the same game mechanics, payout scale, betting schemes and random number generator technology as that of the RMGs.

DoubleDown will continue to offer Delaware’s free no-money casino games at Facebook even if the RMGs of the state-licensed casinos go live in October. However, each of the casino’s age and geo-location verification systems must ensure that only those aged 21 years and above and located within Delaware’s jurisdiction will place real dollar bets at the casino’s web-based wagering facilities.
